Bottle stoppers make the ideal gift; quick production (great for those that wait til the last minute….but then it only takes a minute, right?), minimal expense and small outlay of wood – so, roughly translated… good bang-for-buck ratio.
From left to right, back to front:
In the rack: Purpleheart, Cocobolo, Lacewood ( or Leopardwood/Snakewood depending on the reference you use), 2 more of Cocobolo, & (Unfinished) Purpleheart
Lying flat: Brazilian Ebony (heart and sap wood), Purpleheart, Padauk, Lacewood, African Mahogany, Birdseye Maple, and Canarywood.
Really enjoyed the Padauk stopper. What a pleasant wood to turn and the color and grain is eye-popping. Cocobolo is still my lovely wife’s favorite, but I noticed she picked up and examined the Padauk pretty closely….
Thanks for looking!!
