A lady asked me to make a biplane for her 2 1/2 yr old son and have it painted red. Like most of my projects, I find my inspiration from pictures on the web and go from there. This one is no different.
I found several pictures and combined the features and this is my rendition of a ‘Red Baron’ biplane. Constructed of Poplar and Pine. Body is from 4 pieces of laminated Poplar. Wings, prop and wheels all from Poplar. Tail section is Pine….because I had a piece of Pine that fit the purpose (for those who are going to ask :) ).
I tried to find a pilot for the biplane but couldn’t locate anything.
Hope you like…..Don
