I’m on a very slippery slope, making boxes is FUN.
The wood is air dried Black Walnut, splines are leftover curly Maple and the lid is Lace Wood.
For the finish, I used several coats of Danish Oil with wet sanding to fill the pores, the topcoat is 3 coats of General Finish Arm-a-Seal and 2 coats of wax.
This is a gift for our 3yr old niece, hopefully she likes it.
Enjoy
Sorry the photos are rotated.

Nice looking box, be careful they are addictive. I’m sure it will be a much loved gift.

Looks good, beautiful wood, tight joints and like the clean lines and finish. Great job!
