My first project as a “woodworker” and it turned out pretty good. It also wasn’t as hard as I thought it might be. This is made out of 1/2 birch and has birch veneer on the front exposed edges to give a cleaner look. I learned a lot on this one like put the veneer on before you assemble a project so that you can trim it down. Also I learned if you are going by plans make sure you read the entire plan before you start so that you know if there are special cutting instructions. I needed up being short a side when it came to assembly and it cost me getting another sheet of $50 ply. All in all I enjoyed this project and will end up making this same thing atleast one more time for the closet next to this one.

A good start. My first project was a bookshelf made of 1/2” plywood with a radial arm saw. It looked terrible. Keep on building and learning…..
