cherry clock

This is a cherry clock I just finished. It’s a xmas present for my new in-laws. The body is cherry and the numerals are an arts and craft font that I had laser cut out of 1/8” birch plywood. The back is bridle jointed panel to keep the inside of the case clean. I used a quartz, non chiming pendulum movement.
Most of the clock was built with hand tools only except for the cherry panel which I had thinned down from 3/4” to 1/2” with lunch box planer.

I had a second clock but that one didn’t make it. Maybe next christmas until then the parts will reside in the boneyard.
