Our turning club does a random gift exchange each year and this is the gift that I made. This segmented bowl is made from bloodwood and maple and has a total of 88 pieces, 5” dia , 4” tall. This was my first time with bloodwood and I think it may be harder on the turning tools than osage orange

Very attractive turning—great choice of woods, two of my favorites. Someone is going to be lucky and very pleased I’m sure. Merry Christmas.

I KNEW I should have joined the turning club. Very nice! I don’t mind working with the bloodwood so much, though. Pretty and has a nice smell.

Very nice Mike. Sorry I had to take off early. I hope you had a great time. I’m sure all the gifts were nicely done.
