Heh, heh, slow going when you are too cheap to hire a cabinet maker. Well is an other bathroom. Again with maple cabinets. I still need to make the medicine cabinet, but that will come later.
The granite counter I bought from Lowe’s. It came with bowl and all, but i had to buy two, cut them to size and seam them together.

I really like the look, care to share some finishing techniques?? Great selection on the top too. You know….if you made the mirror frames the same as the cabiniet…..WoW that would really draw your eye to that great cabinet…sorry, didn’t mean to give you ideas for more work…LOL

Thanks Jim,
Maple is a very hard woo to stain without a blotch. I used a stain from Hood: http://67.222.44.196/store/index.php It was a stain both water and oil based. I used it on the wooden floor and on the cabinets. I used it as a wipe on stain. The next two coats are tung oil from waterlox. This is easy applying with a brush. The last two coats are oil bases polyurethane from Zar. After the first coat I sanded with a 220 grit paper. The Zar flows well brushed on, but it is a very sticky product and dries quickly. It is hard to apply to larger surfaces.
I wanted to make the mirrors, but my wife realised, that i would not get the house done in this lifetime if I would try to make everything myself. So the mirrors came from Lowe’s.
Thanks for asking.
