A client asked for a quote for a sofa table with specific dimensions based on a table he saw on the web. I mulled it over for awhile and then gave him a price that he accepted.
I got the wood from a local mill as you can see in the last pic. I was asked to used a lighter color wood in the build and this maple milled up really nice.
The bottom shelf has breadboard ends and was doweled into the legs. I used Mortise-and-tenon joints for the apron and the legs.
The client was very happy but now the wife wants one after seeing it when I brought it inside for the pictures.

Looks great, I’ve been wanting to build something like that for my own living room. Are the legs solid or made out of four mitered parts?

Nice clean design! Clean and smooth execution.

Looks similar to but then a sofa table has certain characteristics to be a sofa table.

Thanks for the comments…
ChuckH, the legs are solid, all in all this weighs a fair bit.

Elegant looking table! Maple is gorgeous and the joints are great as well as the finish. Great work!
