Workbench Cabinet

I built the workbench a little over a year ago and when I get a moment I might post pics of it too, but I just finished building the cabinet for some extra storage (one can never have enough).

My workbench is a knockdown design since we move pretty regularly. The top fits into the legs with inch and a quarter wooden dowels. The stringers between the legs are held in place with wedged loose tenons. The cabinet carcass is 1/2 inch birch plywood with a poplar cabinet face and oak drawer fronts and doors. The drawers are flush mounted, half-blind dovetail construction and are accessible from either side of the bench. It’s my first effort at building a cabinet and I’m pretty satisfied with the results.

That looks like a really great addition to the bench tl…. we all need extra storage for the stuff we aquire over time and this looks like a fine way to organize it…nice build

The cabinet turned out great! Looks fantastic.

I’d love to see pics of the bench build. Planning to do one in the near future and trying to gather ideas.
