With baby #2 on the way my wife was shopping for a new used dresser for a changing table. Since I was planning to do a new bedroom set for xmas I kind of had to spoil the surprise and do her dresser early so her old dresser can go to the new baby’s room.
It is made from soft curly maple and took about 40 hours of work. We like the basic look of it. The mirror frame is going to be built today and then taken to a local glass shop for the mirror cutting and mounting.
It is finished with my goto finish of Deft Danish Natural Oil.

Wow! Very nice. I love curly maple. That top must have been a real challenge to work with (plane etc.).

Nice job. To bad you had to spoil the surprise—but I’m sure it’s best that you did. The front grain pattern is very eye catching.

Great work young man. When you and that dog get tired of
building dressers, you can try your hand at rocking chairs.
HaHa Really a nice piece. I know your wife loves it.
Thanks for sharing.
