This is my first attempt at a vase. It is made out of walnut, maple and bloodwood. I wanted it to be good sized but after it was finished the size difference from my head and looking at a tape measure and a finished project was more than I expected. It is 12.25 in tall and at the widest spot which is the top ring is 9.5 in. Sometimes the best things in life turn out better then the plans in your head.

Very nice! The woods you chose go well together too. What’s the finish?
