Big leaf maple burl and curly walnut. BLM burl sure works nicely. Insides of lids and trays are curly and quilted 1/4” thick guitar blank rejects. Nice materials for rejects. most of the work on these are either done on a tablesaw or the router. General wipe-on poly finish will a couple coats of wax. 2 of the 5 of these are already taken- just need liners and they are on the way to their new homes. Boxes can be addictive. Now to get the all the other finished before christmas. Enjoy

Both are real beauty’s… Some amazing wood…. Great color and grain, who ever they go to will be extremely happy! Merry Christmas and good luck on finishing. I suspect many of us Lumberjocks are under the gun for a special dadline approacing fast…

Great looking boxes, nothing nicer than big leaf maple. Good luck getting all done, and have a great Christmas.

It’s a nice design and you did a fine job on it.

Thanks- I should have stated first 3 pics are one box and the other 3 are different boxes. I built 5 just ran out of picture availability.

Thanks everyone. I am addicted to this shape, I change it a little every time. I am always amazed at how a little change in profile really changes the look. Sometimes for the best and some times not so good!!!
