A pair of dumptrucks

Two toy dumptrucks (for two boys) from the plans from Wood Magazine. Next up is the excavator. A dumptruck isn’t much use without a way to fill it!

And, yes, when the little guy loaded himself into the dumptruck, my heart stopped for a minute.

The first truck is Maple & Sapele, the second is Maple & Walnut. Since I’m not a turner (yet), I bought the wheels/axles from Wood Magazine.

He’d better get some good mileage on that truck soon…..as he won’t be fitting in it for very long!!

I made one of those trucks too but I didn’t think they’d be that strong!! Those plans from Wood magazine are really good and easy to follow (step by step ) I use their plans all the time.

Once you’ve made the excavator, you’ll have to make the flatbed and truck to drive it around…. :)

Oh, and you seem to have a really nice workshop!! Some heavy duty toys there…..

Great work. Looks like the operator liked it as well.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Hay, that’s neat. Guess you made it strong enough for a lifetime of fun.
