My good friend from college is getting married in a couple of weeks and what better way to store his cards and small gifts than a keepsake box. It’s crafted from hard maple (lid), afromosia (bottom) and lychee (body). I picked up the lychee right before we left Hawaii and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. Though it was nothing special when working and sanding, the dramatic figure popped once I applied the shellac and Arm-R-Seal.

Brent,

What a nice wedding gift! The wood is spectacular. Is the lettering laser-engraved?

Thanks John, James and Charles,

I’ve got one more 6’ x 8” board of lychee left over. Now that I’ve seen this beautiful figure, I’m excited for the next project. I should have picked up more!
