These 3 pieces where all made from storm damaged cherry trees off my parents farm. The bed plans come from Wood magazine the nightstands are from American Furniture Design. The bed is 3 years old and really taking a nice color no wild variations like when it was first finished. I soaked the tables in the sun most of the summer to catch them up with the bed. Finish is BLO and thinned poly.

REALLY nice furniture – I love cherry when it’s used in the manner.

Also love the idea of watching furniture you made darken with time.

Great build!

Great looking bed and nightstands! Love the beautiful cherry and they’re great memories of your parents’ farm.

Thanks guys. There was lots of first on these projects. Starting from a tree to a finished project is a ton of work.
