This is a little weed pot, similar to one Robbie the Woodturner turned in a recent YouTube video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRtAnredMr0 ).
This one is maple and started out as a piece 6” long and 3” in diameter. The finished inside diameter is 1 1/2” and the piece is 5” tall..
If there are any turners out there who have never done multi-axial turnings, it is a gas, A little scary at first with a hunk of wood purposely turning out of balance, but a lot of fun when you get used to it.

That is quite a procedure!
That would SCARE the CRAP out of me!
I can just see it flying away at me or into the shop! :(
At the end, I could see it about to happen… Don’t know why he didn’t stop before it flew OFF!
COOL WORK!
Sure is different!
Good Luck… Don’t take any Wooden Knuckles! :)
Be careful!
Thank you!

Always impressed when I see these multi axis turnings.
