I have a DeWalt Contractors table saw and just purchased a Kreg Miter Fence to use with it. Found out several things in my haste. The table is not wide enough and DeWalt does not offer one to fit this saw. So I go over to the bog box hardware store and purchase one of those white shelf boards and several 1 inch by 2 inch by 8 foot long strips. As I have the saw mounted on a plywood base it makes a perfect starting point to mount a brace. I build the brace frame and get it rock solid. Then I cut the white shelf board and make a table the correct size. Next I mount two 2×4’s across the table saw table and extending over the new table area. Now I clamp the new extension table under the 2×4’s and start building supports.

So far it is solid but I will add more bracing later today.

Great idea. Contractor saws never have enough surface area. Makes the saw more useful and safer.

Great addition and one that will no doubt help your work at the TS.
