Our project is finally complete. Our goal was to be through by Christmas so we beat that goal.

Wow, this is awesome. I really like the design that you came up with and the finish on it is awesome. Looks like the boss is happy, so thats def good. If mama aint happy, aint nobody happy. Great job

That looks very nice. I like the green stain. Hard to tell from the pictures, but I do not see any filler strips. Either way it is a great piece. Enjoy Christmas!

Excellent work. It came out really nice. I think that chicken is the same one we have or at least almost identical.

LOVE it, I’m going to your blog to read in more detail. This type of work is very much desired today, people are going against basic wood stain and toward either coloured stains or paint. You did a lovely job!

@489tad – there is one on the left end 7/8 inch wide. On the right side, I cut a tapered filler that started out 1/4 inch wide and tapered to zero about two thirds down from the top.

The width of the wall was 123 inches so I made the cabinets “almost fit” by adjusting the width of the four drawer cabinet. I didn’t want to be too exact because I got skeered they wouldn’t fit! :-)
