I was asked by someone to repair an old boat swim deck that was really beyond repair. After talking with him about his options, he opted for a new one. He agreed with my suggestions about the wood combinations of white oak and padauk (both being very water resistant). A few coats of spar varnish, and it was ready for the water!

Thanks for the welcome and compliments. And yes Brian, I had the old deck to duplicate the transom radius. I hope to have more project pics soon (what I’ve seen around here is gonna make me kick it up a couple notches!) Craven
