I’ve been wanting to make this simple dovetail template for some time. So. I grabbed a piece of Maple and went at it. It took me a couple of hours to make. It takes Paul Sellers less than ten minutes. I’m certain that if he did not take the time to film the process, he could make it in less than five. That’s what experience gives you.

Anywho, it was fun to make and it help me develop my hand tool skills.

Thanks for looking

We hobbyists can never hope to beat the pro’s when it comes to working speed Doug, but no matter, it’s a great little helper and it might save you a lot more time marking dovetails in the long run. Paul Sellers has fantastic woodworking skills and he is a great teacher too.

Nice and simple! I’ve never seen that one before. Thanks for the post.
