bottle openers? I’m curious, how do they work?

Good job. Might as well use up the scrap.

In pict 2 you can see a 1 1/4” hole with a 5/8” hole set 13/16 from the center of the large hole. Attach a flat washer to catch the lip of the bottle cap and lift. Found this design on LJs some time ago. Been making them for friends out of scrap since then.

JustplaneJeff,

Very cool, I’m intrigued by the simplicity of it and the great look! Thanks for giving the dimensions, save us time if others decide to make some on their own.

Thanks for posting,
Mike

What a cool idea! I think I’m going to make one for my dad for christmas. I’m going to try to test a slightly different idea I have though. Thanks for the inspiration!

Roger thanks for the video, its a little different than the ones I made as I left the hole for the cap full which keeps the caps flat. I keep the caps as some day I may use them in a bar top.
