I just finished this Hall Tree for my sister and I’m sure I’ll be building a lot more of these. My wife and two of her friends already put their order in.The frame is made from Poplar and I used Eastern White Pine for the slats. She chose a Black milk paint for the finish. I’d like to make one from old barn board.

It’s a nice practical piece and you did a fine job on it.

It looks great, like the finish. It will serve your sister well for a long time. Great job!

Beautiful! Did you happen to work off of any plans, or is it a Jay Original? My wife is looking for something similar.

Thanks John,

I looked at some pictures on the internet and then came up with this design on my own. I used Poplar and ship lap v-groove pine. Let me know if you need some help when you get ready to build it
