This is really nice, Lee. I’ve had plans for a couple of for almost 30 years. I used to see them in New Zealand and became real interested in how they work, and have always had a desire to make one. I’m not big on lathe work, and I think that’s what has kept it on the drawing board. Thanks also for the other post on how you made it.

Oh yes. Myrt acquires raw wool, cleans & cards it, then dyes it & spins it into yarn. Ive never used the wheel but she finds it a satisfying activity. We used to live on an acreage & had a bunglow with a walk-out basement with large windows. A great place to sit in the sun during winter. In those days she also had a loom so had a use for a ton of yarn. However no room for a loom in the present house so the yarn demand is now somewhat reduced hence the spinning as well.
