This is my first attempt at a bandsawn box. I made it out of tulipwood, an off-cut piece that I wanted to put to some use. The dimensions are around 1 3/4 high, 3 1/4 wide and 6 inches in length. I finished it with some finishing oil to highlight the grain, as my main objective in the project was to line up the grain pattern exactly so it looked like a solid block. I got the idea from looking around the LJ website and other similar sites. I am quite happy with it as a first attempt but I can see room for improvement. With the skills and experience I have acquired completing it I will try something a little more challenging next time.

Great attempt with great result.
I like the grain pattern. Tulipwood is beautiful, and the box is equally beautiful.
