The original plan when I built my Morris chair back in March, was to also build one for my wife. Well life happens and work as well, but was able to get into the shop this week and make hers. As with the original, I used all reclaimed lumber (pallet wood). I had the cushions made of the same fabric as the original to match. I did use 4” high density foam on her chair. Mine was built for my size… so I did shrink her’s a bit.

I didnt use any plans or photos for her’s. I simply went out to the shop, selected the wood and went to work. I knew it had to have a 24” x 24” base… went from there. I added rails along the sides of this chair (her request).

Dont remember how many hours I had in the first chair but have about 24 hours in this one.

I do want to build one with good bought wood sometime. Cause a lot of time is taken by ripping and sanding used wood… although as my wife says, it adds character.

Great job woodshed! I admire your skills. What is the wood? I know your wife will thoroughly enjoy this fine chair you have made her.

The “good bought wood” may not be as good of wood as the salvage lumber!

Nice work!

Most of the salvage has the warping/cracking already done and it does not show up after you complete a project!

Outstanding build! I’ve always wondered why most people don’t bother to plane/sand/clean up pallet projects; this is easily one of the best looking pallet builds I’ve ever seen! Well done!
