This is the Butcher block that I made for my wife for her Birthday in Nov. It is made of Walnut and Hard Maple. It was the first piece in the wood shop since the upgrades. She didn’t want end grain so i put some in anyway just on the ends. It measures 24×32 and is 8in thick. The legs are Walnut and 5in at the bottom and 6.5in at the top. Rollers are from big box store. It is 35 inches tall. The legs are attached using kreg jig screws. 3 coats of Mineral oil to seal wood. My wife was super excited and the best part was that my 8 year old daughter didn’t spoil the surprise. She likes it so much she does not want to use it. Tell me what you guy’s think.

I love it. A gorgeous piece of work.

It’s funny how butcher blocks always seem shorter than they are because of their thickness. I wouldn’t have guessed 35” in a million years.

WOW!! Great job. That’s one table that will become a family heirloom. I’ll bet it’s not light. Thanks for sharing with the Lumberjocks community.

Two things. I’m glad my wife’s birthday is in September, (she has already gotten her Christmas gift), and I hope she never sees THIS Butcher Block. Great job, I like it.
