Wow nice refurb from that mess. Nice to see ya save a trunk from Americas best trunk maker, love Lanes quality.

I have one of these Lane cedar chests from the early ‘50s. mine wasnt in nearly that bad of shape, but years of neglect had left the exterior terribly dry. 3/4 of a bottle of wood conditioner polish and it looked tons better! excellent restoration you’ve done here, definitely will be an heirloom piece to pass on. great job!
