12×20 x 27” made of cherry. Grooves in the verticals. One hole in the horizontals for the dowels. Slats are about 1 1/8th inch wide and less than 1/8th inch thick. I wiped a coat of boiled linseed oil and then sprayed with poly.

It seems a shame that something so beautiful is going to have people throwing dirty underwear in it.

What does the boiled linseed oil do for it? Is it for looks, or to help protect it?

I have been wanted to build a hamper for awhile, mainly cause I actually NEED a hamper. But this design is awesome, I love how the slats allow for air to circulate.

I’m gonna have to +1 KodaBear and steal this one! Sorry dude! Great hamper!

Do I see that you screwed some red cedar to the inside of the lid? SMART! I bet it smells great … as good as dirty clothes can smell I guess

Can you take a picture of the inside showing the slats?
