Things to make when life is really giving it to you!
I am currently making a curved front box its testing my patience skills grey matter and my bowels as well so.
What better project to make than a paper holder.
I have a 2.5” round over bit, and heaps of materials so when a friend of Aurora’s called asking me to make them a toilet paper roll holder it couldn’t have been better timed.
I used some stock Blood wood for the base and cut the base circle at 15 degrees.
Milled up some Oregon (Douglas fir) into a biggish dowel
Used a 35 mm forsther bit to make the hole.
Sanded a slight taper on the dowel stock.
Applied Titebond III glue.
Glued it in.
Trued it all up, let it dry, and then applied some Tung Oil, ready to go!!!
