One of our psuedo grandchild reached the age where a nice rocker would have been a nice gift. I searched the internet for weeks to find a nice horse rocker plan when I came across a scooter design. Since no pattern was available, I made my own pattern. I also added some little features that I thought would be nice like the chrome trim. The main body is made from Oak, the seat, fenders and wheels were made from Poplar and the front fender was made from oak plywood. The rockers were made from poplar and crossbars were made from oak. The rocker was made to break down when the child was too old for the rocker. This way it could be taken apart and boxed up for storing until she is able to hand it down to her children.

A very design and workmanship. I’m pretty sure that little girl is going to have a lot of fun with it.

Now I have seen everything!
What a great idea! Especially nice because you made it from your own brain.

My fiancĂ©e just went nuts over this…looks like another project will be added to my list when we have a little one. Great new take on a very traditional toy!

Great design, they may have a hard time getting off for other activities

Cool rocker! Like the design and colors and the trim really added more appeal to it. Very lucky little lady!
