My daughter’s 15th birthday was quickly approaching and she decided she wanted cupcakes instead of a large flat sheet cake. Since this was my first project like this, I decided to try out some 3/8” MDF. After researching Google for styles and sizes, I selected my size and decided to wing the design. I ended up inserting a threaded rod and two bolts to keep it sturdy. The top plate will hold a large cupcake or small two layer cake.

I would say you had a ball making that….sure holds allot of cup cakes…your daughter must have tons of friends or a super large family.

Lovely and sturdy cake stand! Like the design, holds a lot of cakes. I’m sure she’s happy with it. Great job!
