Some of my first attempts at turning.
A tree came down in my front yard so decided to make a couple of small turnings out of the wood.
The wood is Bradford pear which has a beautiful color when finished. The lidded box also has ebony and walnut. They are finished in bees wax and mineral oil.
-- A famous poet once said: “There is a name hidden in the shadow of my soul, the name is wood. Sweet, ever beautiful, earth grown wood. It warms my heart and brings a tear to my eye.”

Very nice. I really like the bowl with the bark edge.

That is great start. Very nice turnings.
I appreciate wood turning very much, but don’t have the machine tools to try.
Take care and work safe.
