I am inpatient by nature, so these type of projects help keep me in check…...some patience required…

I posted the 35 flavors board last week (because I am impatient):

Click for details

That board doesn’t have much in the way of design, just lot’s of variation. These 3 boards were assembled with the intent of a recurring theme. The theme is Maple, Cherry and Walnut. There is quite a bit of color variation in the Cherry, so the some of effect is lost there, but you gets what you gets…...

These were fun to build, and the designs are built on the fly, the only rules were the basic Maple, Cherry, Walnut base materials….....other material was used for some of the unique shapes.

Photo before the mineral oil was applied:

Some of the shape blanks:

A shot of the individual blocks on the bench awaiting some design inspiration:

This is link to the blog posted last week with a few tips HERE

I have 3 more weird boards in the works and then it’s over (I promise).....

Thanks for looking…...

I’m thinking you’ve got the impatience thing under control. This is very nice work. Thanks for sharing.

Very impressive Jeff. A lot of thought went into these.
So what’s next?

-- Randy-- I may not be good...but I am slow! If good things come to those who wait.... Why is procratination a bad thing?

Jeff they are wonderful. Your talent and patience shows in your work.
Have you thought of some with culinary markings. Or a US flag. How about a dart board with numbers.
Keep em coming.

Thanks kdc, but hardly perfect…..like your tag line “Measure “at least” twice”......I can honestly say I’ve never built anything without some mistakes…..just in my nature I guess. I’ll spare you the all the mistakes in this one, but as they say, it’s all about how you recover from them….

Randy – You still have some projects in the works that should have been posted by now…...you should try procrastinating on the procrastinating and finishing some of those cool ideas you got going on there…...thanks man.

Dave – I was thinking about a flag design actually (good thinking man).....numbers for a dart board seem a bit out of reach…...but most importantly, I gotta refrain from these mega projects for a bit here until I settle some other business…..Appreciate you stopping in….........

Good looking boards, Jeff.
