Inspired by Tommy Mac’s shaker inspired step stool. I just needed to build something!

Assorted Cherry cut offs, more dovetail practice, and wallah!

I bought some cherry & maple – I love the contrast of these two types of wood – yesterday (no kidding!) to make one of these. I’ve not done any dovetailing work so after some practice to get comfortable I will be diving into this project as I feel this is a good starter project for dovetail work. Great timing for me and a GREAT job by you sir. As I begin my project I will be further inspired by your work.

I like the varying sized dovetails… you can tell its hand-cut. Nice work all around!

Great looking and sturdy step stool. Like the beautiful cherry and great joints. Well done!
