3 new pens, well 2 1/2

I got 3 pens kits from Lee Valley to try on my little lathe. 2 turned out ok, some minor things that only me and us LJ’s would notice, but ‘normal’ people never see. Those 2 are paduik and cocobolo. The third pen was zebra, but when I was drilling it, I got a little crooked and came out right on the edge at the bottom. I thought I cut most of that back, but when I tried to turn it there was a crack and it blew out. One of those learning things.

Anyways, off to turn a vampire stake, just in case…

Nice pens. What kind of lathe do you have?

Thanks guys,

WoodenBoxes, I picked up a little Delta Midi lathe, LA200 i think is the model. Works well for now, but I’ve been warned that Delta has no parts for it, so hopefully it’ll last a while!

Have your say...
