This is a sign I made for a friend with a blog and small furniture painting business. I copied her blog logo, routed out the edges, cut the shape out and hand painted on one piece of wood.

Extremely Well Done! That’s a quite beautiful piece of art work on your part. Was the lettering stenciled or hand painted by your own eye and hand coordination? If the latter, you are well gifted. Really admire the two toned finish, and the bird adds to the attractiveness. Is that part of her logo?

Russell – I encourage you to read the link to my blog. I hand paint after printing out the lettering and then using carbon paper to transfer it to the wood. The sign looks pretty much exactly like the logo… go see it here

Hi Julie … great to see you back again! What a lucky friend, and positively georgious sign! Good blog too. Maybe you should invest in a scroll saw, eh?! However, it seems you’re quite talented with the jig-saw! Super steady hand painting as well. No doubt your friend is tickled with her business sign :)

That’s pretty good work with a jig saw! Must have taken a few hours for sure!

Anyway, the sign came out looking great, and I’m sure your friend will love it!
