This chair was thrown away covered in spots of purple paint so I saved it and cut out a Texas finished it with olive oil and added a seat and medallion.

Wonderful save! I’ve never heard of finishing wooden products w/olive oil; but that’s super. Really like the outcome. Did you re-upholster the seat also? Also adds nicely to the Taxes cut-out and Ranger’s star. Good on ya!

Uhmmm, Olive oil will go rancid after it ages. You might want to wipe it down with acetone and start over.

Been using Olive oil for years. The lemon makes it work I did build and refinish the seat myself.
