This was a project from the “Wood” magazine construction toys series. I ordered the sheels and gas tanks everything else i made. Maple and walnut for the truck and birds eye maple for the dumper. This was going to be a gift for a 1y/o so i added a bunch of dowels when putting things together to add some strength. Turned out great and i already have a request for another.

This is some truck! Almost wish I were a 9 yr. old boy/tom boy on your Christmas list!

I have that issue sitting open to the project’s page.
It’s coming up soon.
Great job.

the wheels and the gas tanks I purchased along with the threaded rod, and axels. You can get the full kit from here as well as the plans if you don’t have them: http://www.woodstore.net/codutr.html

Nice work, John! Looks like the truck could handle any job given to it by a youngster. The only problem with your project is that it reminds me that I’m supposed to make a similar item for my 1-year old grandson –– Not your fault!

Cool toy! Like the build and design. I’m sure the little kid will get lots of fun with it.

Hi John, nice job there.

As a small boy my first dream profession was that of becoming a trucker and this truck of yours reminded me of a similar one I had when I was little.

Have your say...
