This is a board that I made for a customer from Nova Scotia. He’s heading through here this evening to pick it up on his way to see family in Virginia.
Frame is made of Poplar and is stained with a Zar oil-based 126 Chestnut. He wanted a semi-gloss finish (I would have liked to see it in gloss) and I used Birch ply for the deck. There are no access holes because he wants to drill them himself.
He’s seen pics and really likes it. Me, well, I dunno. I’m not thrilled with the outcome, maybe because of the semi-gloss thing but the customer’s always right. LOL!
