Was sitting around watching some Roy Underhill before going to the shop to do some work, and saw the episode on the Grease Pot and decided to make one out of scrape while I was waiting for some Wood glue to set up. Turned out pretty decent, I can definitely use this. It’s made from Padauk and Oak for the Key.

And a wonderful way to spend time waiting.
Really fine box.

That’s neat!

So is the ‘real’ lid locked in place by the top or something?

the very top has a 6 degree angle and you slide that out then you can slide back the second part which is held in place by that diamond shape oak piece in the front, it’s pretty ingenious!

That’s one handy box. It will serve you well, very useful around the shop. Great job!
