This entertainment center was made with leftover Bamboo flooring and African mahogany finished with Old Masters cherry wiping stain and top coated with Varathane Satin Poly. I originally did not want to stain it but the African mahogany’s color was to inconsistent. Only two more things to make and my recently acquired man cave will be complete. Thanks for looking.

I think it came out nicely with the stain. When you’re using hardwood flooring for other things like this, how do you deal with the grooves that usually run along the bottom side? Do you have to plane it thinner or do you just stick that side in somewhere it won’t show?

Albe … Nice work … thanks for posting.

Just curious … what are the dimensions (height, width, depth)?

Thanks guys, Joe this is the first time I used left over flooring. In this case I just left it as is because you have to be lay down to see the underside. I am also going to build a desk with leftover but will probably use 1/4 plywood underneath to hide the grooves.

Great looking build, like the design and it matches the floors. Love the bamboo and the finish. Great job!
