New Chop Station

I finished this chop station a couple of evenings ago. In addition to providing extra support on both sides for the RAS, the left side is able to double as an assembly table. The right side has a fixed fence for the RAS and the miter saw is removable when cutting larger pieces – there is a small box assembly to fill the hole when necessary. Under both support tables is area for storage with a solid base on the right side.

The whole assembly was constructed from one sheet of 3/4” plywood and around 15 2×4s.

Looks good. That really must be a space saver. I need something like that, but my problem is that I am constantly having to move the saw on my bench to accommodate cuts of longer pieces.

Nice set up and it looks like you should get a lot of use out of that upgrade ! I have a similar set up and really like having both an RAS and Miter saw configuration. Have fun down in the shop with this one and be safe !
