I’d posted a shot of this on an earlier post when it was still in the early stages of construction.
A friend of ours had given us an old toy he’d had for about 40 years to see if we could use it as a pattern. A couple of the axle pins had been broken, so my son and I carefully dis-assembled it and used the parts to make templates.
The body is laminated from 2 sheets of 3/4” Baltic birch ply, while the legs and wheels are oak. I cut the wheels with a hole saw
The legs move with the wheels, and even the ears are pinned so they are moveable. Next step is to replace axle pins and refinish the original so I can return it to my friend.
