I have been absent for a while because of some health issues and apologize for not being around and commenting but I am making some progress and have spent some time in the shop lately .
There will be some follow up but it should go easy and not slow me down too much again .

My daughter wanted a banana holder and this is what I came up with ,a fruit stand for her kitchen complete with a tray .
Her husband likes the Steam Punk look and that is what I tried to incorporate in this design with the new kerf bend design I came up with for this project .
Made from birch and the tray is from IKEA finished in beeswax and mineral oil mix to make it food safe .
If anyone would like to see the arch being made look for it soon as a separate post as I am making more of these and will take some pics this time .
Let me know what you think I would appreciate It ,good or bad ,

GLAD you are back and hope all is well now and in the future for you and yours.

This fruit holder is a piece of art. I like how you carried the “kerf” design into the bottom as well. Nice job.

Great idea on the combo stand.
I’d like to see how you did it. It looks like the kerfs were cut almost all the way through and then closed up to a tight surface on the inside. Did you add a veneer to the inside too? I have never see that done like that before. I love new ideas!!
Glad to have you back and pumping out projects!!

.................Cheers, Jim

Sorry to hear about the health issues Kiefer. Hope all is well now.
Your work always has a unique flair to it. This would look good in any room. I think you could make a cloths pin look good! Nice work!

So glad you’re back! I like the dowel to hold the banana instead of a hook, and the plate is a nice addition.
Welcome back.

Welcome back Keifer. I’m sorry to hear about your health problems, but I’m glad you are better and back in the shop. I love your banana stand. In fact it is a very timely post. I’m thinking what a great Christmas gift one of these would make, and without having to resort to copying your unique design.
