This is made from Beech and pink ivory, finished in a food safe coating usually used on kitchen counter tops.
The pink ivory is very close grained and turns beautifully.

Nice job on the turning. The pestle came out super. These are a great essential for cooking.

The Pink Ivory came from my local timber store (Somerset UK), they have a stock of pen blank sized bits and occasionally some a bit larger.
