my wife had this old knife block for here steak knifes plus we just purchased a few more that did not come ith a block. I noticed the old block was starting to mold, she asked me to make one for her. I never made one before and drove my self nut’s trying to figure out the best way to do it. Well a month went by and was asked where her block was, so I told her my issue. The next day I decided to make it my mission to get it done! I figured it our! I made a few mistakes but now I know what to do differently, it’s amazing how some of the simple projects can give you the biggest headaches LOL. cedar block with a mineral oil finish.

Todd…First thing, I completely understand what you mean about the supposedly simple things driving one nuts. Second, that looks like a sweet design you came up with to store those pesky knives…good thinking buddy. And third, that is an amazing finish on that cedar…..NICE JOB oh cedar king.
