First, I apologize for the picture, they always invert when I post from my Apple device.
The horse is 5/4 cherry. Walnut for the dowels, handle, and kick plate. The tail still needs to be added…I’d love your suggestions for that material. It’s a very quick build. I consider myself a novice and this took less than 5 days.
The plans can be ordered at http://www.woodentoy.com/
Unprecedented accomplishment…I finished a Christmas present in November!!! I have twin daughters; the next horse will probably be finished around midnight on December 24 :) I think I’ll use maple for the next horse.
Thanks for looking,
Dan

How’d you get it to stick to the ceiling like that? I’ll bet it’s a wild ride! ;-)

Easy to fix. Just go into your “Apple Device” photo album, select the photo you want to fix, then choose edit. Somewhere in there, you’ll see a rotate icon. Just rotate it until it’s right side up. Then post the pic.

I mean, really, it’s easier than making that cool rocking horse!

For a minute, I thought you were in Australia. Nice- the youngun’s will enjoy it. Tail- a piece of manila rope that is frayed on the end.

Nice looking rocking horse. I can tell he’s a nice one even if he is upside down.
