Each year the members of the North County Woodworkers Club make Memory Boxes for the children and spouses of the the Marines at Camp Pendleton for Christmas. The size of the boxes vary slightly but are approximately 5-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 2-1/2”. The materials for this year’s boxes include oak, walnut, maple, coa, and cocobolo. The one in the photo is cocobolo.

I know many woodworking groups have similar projects. I encourage everyone to get involved in this type of activity whenever possible.

It’s simple but looks really good and well crafted. Beautiful wood and finish. Great job!
