The new Hunger Games movie is coming out this month and my lovely bride ask if I could carve the hunger games logo…”.um yeah sure” I said.
So off to the shop and this is what I came up with.
Yes a hair pin with the logo for opening day of the movie….whew!
Since she usually wears her long beautiful hair up at the movies why not make it into a hair pin instead and she can have the best of both. Or the best I can make.
A huge thank you to MariyaArts…. she makes the best hair accessories by far on the internet. Not only is she incredibly beautiful but her carving abilities continue to amaze me. She inspired me to try, just by looking at her work.
The pins are 7” long and are made from blood wood.
I find these fun to make.
Thanks for viewing

Beautiful Jim ~ I haven’t read the Hunger Games book and don’t know much about it… but these sure are some nice sticks. I love the detail on the bird one. Bloodwood is nice to work with I think. Great job!

Very pretty, like the cool design and great carving especially the mockingjay. I bet she loves them. Great job!
