Here is my versatile clamp rack, most of the clamps are on a project right now so it looks pretty empty. When populated there are about 100 clamps on it.

Made from three 8’ 2×4s and some scrap plywood. A much better financial alternative to the store bought version…

Functional for sure :)

You do such beautiful projects :) for instance http://lumberjocks.com/projects/8768 so to see that clamp rack , while it looks very functional no doubt, quick and dirty.. it is dang ugly :) when compared to some of you outstanding work.

I have no room to talk, most of my clamps are stacked in the corners of any available space.

(after re-reading what I posted I wanted to add – I hope you take my comments in the light fun it was meant :)

Not to worry, it doesn’t matter much to me. I feel that I put all the work and effort into the projects, when it comes to shop functional pieces I don’t want to put that much effort into them. No one really sees the shop (except what I post here).

Thanks for the compliments on the other projects…

I still have clamps strewn all over, I opened a box yesterday that had scrap tile from when we did the kitchen floor and there were 2 rogue clamps hiding in there…

Very nice shop improvement project. Good job.
Add castor wheels and it’s easy to move it around when it’s full of clamps.
Take care and work safe.

Hey, I’m for whatever is practical… looks don’t matter in the shop… good work.
